Black Ale

A Cascadian Dark Ale, also known as a CDA, black IPA, American-Style Black Ale (ABA), dark ale, black beer, (need we continue?), burst onto the craft beer scene in the early 1990s. Cascadian Dark Ales from the Pacific Northwest are notorious for three things: hops, body and impact. We think it’s safe to say we think we’ve ticked all three boxes with our Prancing Pony Cascadian Black Ale.

Our Black Ale is a balanced dark style of beer with roasted malt, coffee and chocolate aromas and flavours. This is complemented by resinous, citrusy hops and a late lingering bitterness of cacao to balance that initial sweetness.

It goes without saying that this Pony can’t be seen at night.
